To be a mentor with American Bedouin you must meet the following requirements:
Valid Hunting License & Certifications: Possess a current hunting license along with any relevant certifications (e.g., hunter education, firearms safety, or archery proficiency).
Experience: Have a minimum of 3–5 years of active, documented hunting experience across various environments and seasons.
Ethical Track Record: Demonstrate a history of responsible, ethical hunting practices with verifiable references or testimonials.
Mentor Training: Attend and complete our mentor orientation and commit to adhering to best practices in field safety at all times.
Regulatory Knowledge: Be well-versed in local, state, and federal hunting laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and educating mentees on these rules.
Mentorship & Communication Skills: Exhibit strong leadership and communication abilities to effectively share knowledge with individuals of varying skill levels.
Conservation Commitment: Show a genuine passion for conservation and sustainable hunting practices, including an active interest in local conservation efforts.
Availability & Commitment: Be willing to commit time to scheduled mentoring sessions, training events, and field trips.
First-Aid Certification (Preferred): Hold current first-aid and emergency response training to ensure safety during outdoor activities.
Valid Driver’s License: Maintain a current driver’s license to facilitate travel to and from hunting locations and training sessions.
Minimum Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old (or meet local legal adult age requirements) to ensure sufficient maturity and experience.
Legal Ability to Own a Firearm: Demonstrate legal eligibility to own and operate a firearm in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
